I have been implementing STEMscopes with my students for three years. This year's latest upgrades have proven to be most beneficial for content delivery and student mastery. The organization of content, increased volume of resources, Bundles, at-a-glance data, and the reorganization of the Scope's content.
When approaching the end of a Scope, I begin looking ahead at the content of what is coming up next. The hard science skills are embedded within the individual scopes. If you share my views about also teaching the "soft" science skills such as communication and collaboration then you now have the option of beginning the the Bundle. I connect bundles as being synonymous with unit starters. Each one has a Mission that students embark on and revisit throughout the series of scopes. These missions require communication and collaboration amongst established science teams in order to design a device, write a report, or solve a series of problems all directly associated with the scopes.
If this is your first year teaching STEMscopes, then it will seem daunting to integrate the Bundles with the individual scopes. I encourage you to at least read the Missions at the beginning of each new series of scopes. Maybe you will feel courageous enough to attempt just one yet this year!
